In the winter Cape Town are a real snow city but in the summer it’s a beach town so there are plenty of beaches to lie on and have fun. There are many places to visit, many places to eat, and many more opportunities for great fun.

For many tourists, the most popular thing to do is take a day trip to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela spent many years locked up house painting. It is a very interesting place and well worth a visit. As, well as the Mandela pictures you can also see the memorial of the victims of the 1976 bombing that took place here. The island itself has many other attractions and experiences including playing golf, diving, and surfing.
My second favorite is to visit Zeehelden, this is a village near the coast not too far from Cape Town. It’s a beautiful place with white sandy beaches and green hills covered with grapevines.
Here you can enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner in one of the many restaurants or have a picnic at the beach. If you are looking for peace and quiet Zeehelden is a great place to visit. There are many ancient villas that are now museums. There is no need to leave Cape Town, simply drive up or down the road and you can find peaceful heaven.
